Maci Bookout has revealed that her future on Teen Mom OG has not been made any clearer by the removal of Ryan Edwards.

‘Teen Mom’: Maci Bookout Is Reviewing Her Future On The Show Constantly

Ryan and his wife Mackenzie Edwards were let go from the show, suggesting that Maci may have had something to do with it. Maci, for her part, has stressed that she is reviewing her own position on a season by season basis. In an interview on the Baby Mamas No Drama podcast, Maci stated how the kid’s age might decide whether she continues on the show.

She said: “Back in the day, I’d always say as long as I feel like I’m helping people or showing them they are not alone or they’re not crazy, then I would keep doing it. As the kids get older, it’s definitely a season by season thing.” But as things stand, Maci and her husband, Taylor McKinney, are in a really good place. Their love life is going really well, and Maci is also doing great with her kids.

She has a 12-year-old son, Bentley, with her ex-fiance, and their co-parenting could not be going any better too. The show has also helped Maci sort out her childcare duties. She added: “I feel like production does a good job of navigating around the children. If the kids don’t want to film, they’re not going to film.” Just as Maci wants to go in a new direction, so did the Edwards.

They had decided to call it quits after Mackenzie let slip that Ryan had taken the final say on the matter. After all, they were being sidelined from the show as the producers had made it clear that Maci was going to be the main target of the series. In an interview on Without a Crystal Ball, Mackenzie said: “Ryan was just like, ‘Don’t. We’re gonna move on.

“We’re gonna live our lives. We’re gonna do our jobs and, you know, have a normal life. Like, don’t waste your time or your breath coming back.” It will be fascinating to see how Maci will approach the show and whether she will be so vocal just as she has been on the drama with the Edwards family.
