HBO’s ‘The Nevers’ is a new series coming to HBO Max. Created by Joss Whedon, the series centers around Victorian London as a supernatural event occurs and gives people, “mostly women” special abilities.

However, these abilities come with a cost, and now they are all under a threat that could cost them their lives. Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event that gives certain people — mostly women — abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. But no matter their particular “turns,” all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) to protect and shelter these gifted “orphans.” To do so, they will have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind.”

Viewers commented on the trailer, “looks great!… the word “touched” did start to sound weird by the end of this though. wonder how many times it’ll be said in the show if they say it this many times in the trailer”, “Curious to see Nicholas John Frost as a villainous scoundrel.”, and someone addressed the elephant in the room,

“Was excited for this then a bit worried cause the showrunner was joss whedon now back excited cause the show runner got changed. Before someone calls me a snowflake or whatever because of the behind the camera scandals about him that’s not why I’m worried. I’m worried cause all of whedon’s projects have these little touches that I’ve grown annoyed and bored of. If you were a fan of his you know what I’m talking about”.

HBO’s ‘The Nevers’ premieres next month on April 11.
