Kylie Jenner is getting a lot of heat for asking fans to donate to her friend’s GoFundMe account when she just donated $5,000 herself, despite the millions that she is worth. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, the fundraising page was set up to help pay for the medical bills of makeup artist Samuel Rauda, who was injured in an accident on March 14 and has since undergone major surgery, according to the page.

Yet, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder why Kylie couldn’t have funded the costs herself, seeing how she is worth a reported $900 million.
One Twitter use wrote, “Why is kylie jenner asking for donations to fund her makeup artist’s surgery when she’s a billionaire,” while another one said, “If I was as rich as Kylie Jenner I simply wouldn’t ask ppl on the internet to donate for my best friend’s brain surgery but we all built different i guess!”
Another critic added, “How come Kylie Jenner isn’t paying her makeup artist enough to afford a 60k surgery? That’s the real question. Her business is makeup. He’s her makeup artist! He’s not bringing in millions?!?”
As of press time, the account has received more than $100,000 in donations, far exceeding the $60,000 target it was hoping for.
“We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to each and everyone who has donated or sent prayers in support of Samuel,” organizer Johanna Portillo posted to the page Saturday.
“We have felt the love and know that your continued prayers for healing are very much appreciated. It has been uplifting to witness how Sam not only brought a ray of shine to our lives but to many across the world.”
Kylie Jenner herself has not made any comments about the criticism.
