’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Zied Hakimi is really pressuring fiancé Rebecca Parrot to get married in the two weeks before Ramadan, which makes Rebecca really suspicious. She thinks that Zied has another angle besides just wanting to observe his religion and get married so that they can stay in the same house together and not technically “live in sin”.

She said that she finds it suspicious because it was fine for them to stay together in a hotel together in Tunisia but it’s not okay for them to stay in the same house together during Ramadan because they aren’t married.

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Cherry picking Ramadan

We’ve seen strict muslims on this show before and even Yazan from Before the 90 days wasn’t this strange about things. He and Brittany had an apartment in Jordan together and he never mentioned anything about Ramadan.

Granted, maybe things are observed differently in Tunisian culture, I don’t know enough about it to speculate, but if we’re just comparing strictness here, I would argue that if Yazan can get over staying with a girl he wasn’t married to in the same apartment during Ramadan, then so can Zied.

I would think that the only thing Zied would have to do would be to sleep on the couch (when they get one in) and maybe that would rectify things? But maybe I’m just underestimating how strict this culture actually is. (That begs the questiont though, did they ever manage to get their furniture out of storage yet?)

Rebecca says she finds the rush to get married weird, and she doesn’t even know if the courthouse will be open in order for them to get married, which is a valid reason as well. Zied keeps mentioning going back to Tunisia, which Rebecca got offended about, she ordered him to call her daughter Tiffany and see if he could stay there instead.

But, wouldn’t that pose a problem as well? He’s not married to Tiffany either, and technically she is an unmarried (though spoken for) woman, and if Islamic culture has a problem with him staying in the same house as his fiance while unmarried to her, certainly there would be a problem with him staying with her daughter.

But perhaps I’m overthinking this, maybe it’s okay for a man and a woman to stay in the same house together as long as she’s with her husband? (In this case, Tiffany’s fiancé.) We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
