British Royal Family News: What Were Meghan Markle’s Last Words During Her Time In The Royal Family
In an interview with Glamour, Omid revealed her final words: “It didn’t have to be this way.” This was significant given that there was clear regret at how things turned out. And who could blame her? There was such euphoria at the time Meghan joined the Royals, with the expectation that she would win the hearts of the public, just as Kate Middleton had done. But destiny had other plans.
Omid was lucky enough to be in the presence of Meghan when this had all happened. He added: “She was standing in the middle of the palace, and she knew she would never be there again as a working member of the royal family. In that moment, you realize it wasn’t just a difficult couple that failed to make it work. It was an entire institution that failed to nurture and protect a newcomer into the fold.”
As Meghan’s position became untenable, she felt she had no choice but to walk away. That was not her intention, though. She had plans to integrate herself and support Harry’s role in the Royal family. He continued: “I hope people realize this is a couple that tried everything they could to make it work before they stepped away.”
The problems that Meghan has experienced should come as no surprise. Princess Diana failed to adjust to the Royals before her tragic death, and Meghan felt that her experiences might have been valid. He noted: “It’s a problem we see over and over again: Women marrying into the royal family, and they leave battered and bruised. I think that, really, the treatment of women within the royal family, or newcomers, is where the true problems lie.”
Meghan’s words seem to have credence given the latest accusations against her. She has recently been accused of bullying two former assistants. Although she has denied the allegations, it is further evidence that her time in the Royal family was too much to bear.
