‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers have found that Mike Manning and his adorkable young exec. turned sinister rapist Charlie Dale became instant favorites. There will still be a few scenes left of ole Charlie as the whodunnit is unraveled, but Mike has said arrivederci to the soap.
It’s no surprise Mike was so well received. While the young actor, producer, reality television personality and activist may have been a new face to daytime viewers, the baby faced 33-year-old has done the rounds. Manning gained fame as a cast member on the MTV series The Real World: D.C. before earning roles in the Disney Channel original movie Cloud 9, Hawaii Five-0, Teen Wolf, Son of the South and more.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s Next For Fan Favorite Mike Manning?
Before joining DOOL, the accomplished young man won the 2020 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series as a producer for The Bay which stars two of his Days co-stars Matthew Ashford (Jack Devereaux) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady).
Of course leaving Days isn’t the end of the road for talented Mr. Manning. The man himself teased of something in the works on Instagram.
While posting a photo of the cover of Soap Opera Digest, Mike quoted the headline subtitle “Everybody has a motive to want this guy dead.” ?and admitted, “Not exactly how I pictured my first soap magazine cover, but at least we’re having a good time with it. It’s been fun Salem. I’ll love you all forever. ✌??
Thank you to NBC, to everyone involved, and most of all to the fans that were along for the ride w/ this crazy character. You’re amazing. I’ll always be grateful for you.”
He finished the caption with , “Excited to share what’s next as soon as I can.
Arrivederci. -Charlie/Mike”
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Interesting!
Fans are all waiting with baited-breath to see what Mike’s next move is and if he will be staying around the daytime circuit. Head DOOL writer, Ron Carlivati admitted the popularity of Mike was unexpected and has teased there could be a twin brother for Charlie. While that is a little played out to excite fans, there are plenty of roles he could move onto on any of the soap giants- The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital or The Young and the Restless.
Days could even bring Mike back but in a character that has nothing to do with Charlie. The daytime drama did it with Kyle Lowder who played Brady Black from 2000 to 2005. The role was recast to Eric Martsolf when the character came back in 2008. However, all was not lost for Lowder who rejoined the Days cast as Rex Brady in 2018 (and incidentally will be back in Salem very soon).
