With the DC Universe bringing back a ton of its older superheroes, including a television crossover that included Tom Welling (Smallville) and now signing Michael Keaton to reprise his role as Batman in “The Flash”, a lot of older superhero castings have been waiting for the call.

Keaton’s co-star in 1992’s ‘Batman Returns’ has said that she’d be open to returning “if asked”. Yes, Catwoman herself, Michelle Pfeiffer said in an interview with Screen Rant, the 62-year-old Oscar nominee was asked if she would ever be open to returning to the role.

“I would if anyone asked me, but no one’s asked me yet,” she replied.

Seeing my childhood Batman return to the big screen is absolutely delightful, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to see Pfeiffer return as well. Though, ‘The Flash’ begins filming in April, so unless someone asks her soon, it’s unlikely we’ll see her in that film. I wouldn’t rule out the possibility though. DC has been connecting older stars to current projects left and right, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she popped up on the list.

‘The Flash’ film is introducing the DC multiverse, where different versions of it’s heroes meet up. We could very well be seeing Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne running into Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne! (Affleck has already signed on for the part).

Director Andy Muschietti explained how the idea will work during an interview with Vanity Fair back in August.

“This movie is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a unified universe where all the cinematic iterations that we’ve seen before are valid,” he said. “It’s inclusive in the sense that it is saying all that you’ve seen exists, and everything that you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse.”

Hopefully, we’ll get to see the return of Michelle Pfeiffer!
