Monday, June 3rd La Reina del Sur spoilers have Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) mounting huge ops against Los Pernas and Zurdo Villa (Flavio Medina). If you missed it, let’s catch you up on the need-to-know details in your La Reina del Sur recap.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Color us surprised
So, we guess we owe Alejandro Alcalá (Mark Tacher) an apology. We’d assumed last episode that his guy, Danilo Márquez (Emannuel Orenday), was going to meet a bad end on the top of the building they work in. We were wrong.
Turns out that Alejandro actually had a romantic surprise put together. It included a picnic, a helicopter ride, and fireworks, as well as some private time in their secret place. Danilo is thrilled with the gestures, but he’s still a little uneasy. He can’t help but wonder what’s going to become of them once Epifanio Vargas (Humberto Zurita) is president. Alejandro thinks they should just enjoy themselves and not worry about stuff like that.
Later, they discuss their relationship again. Danilo doesn’t think it’s a big deal to come out, as many people have by now. Alejandro begs to differ, and thinks that they won’t be treated the same if people knew they were in a relationship—after all, he’s got political aspirations. And we’re now reconsidering taking back our apology. Sooner or later, Alejandro’s sed de poder is going to win out over love if Danilo keeps insisting like this.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Operation Batman
Sheila’s (Cuca Escribano) on top of her fame tonight, as she heads over to César “Batman” Güemes’ (Alejandro Calva) place. She is being very tempting, and Batman is totally taking the bait. Unfortunately for him, this isn’t a romantic encounter. It’s an intel mission. As soon as he leaves her for moment, she jumps into action. She searches every drawer in the room, and even makes an excuse to keep him out of the room longer to accomplish this. We’re guessing she’s either found something, or decided not to take her chances any more for the night.
Despite making an excuse for him catching her during the search, she doesn’t hang around long. He’s ready to get back to the action when she starts going on about how his wife is watching them, and freaking out over it. He reminds her the wife is dead, but this isn’t stopping the creeps she’s got, as the woman’s pictures are all over. We’ll have to see later if she came up with anything useful.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Mission Accomplished
Teresa, having been informed Los Pernas are on their way, jumps into action. First, she and Oleg Yosikov (Antonio Gil) question their group about this information leak. No one admits to it, but it’s clear she and Oleg know who it was. They excuse everyone, but Teresa grabs Paloma Aljarafe’s (Agata Herranz) hand and demands to know who she told their location to. She admits to calling Charo (Carmen Flores Sandoval) and apologizes, but both she and Oleg seem upset and disgusted. To fix this mess, Teresa lures Siso Pernas (Miguel Ángel Blanco) and co. to a warehouse where Marcela (Carmen Navarro) and Sheila are waiting. The resulting shootout inside leaves Siso without bullets, while Teresa still has plenty of ammo left. She taunts him about this, then they argue a little about who is, or isn’t a murderer. Stay tuned tomorrow to see what happens next.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Without a hitch
While Teresa and the others are luring Los Pernas, Oleg, the Aljarafe sisters, Ahmed (Abdelali el Aziz), and others are pulling off a job meant to harm Zurdo: robbing a transport truck.
Ahmed’s part has him and some other commando types using blow torches to cut a hole in the bottom of the truck. The men get inside and lower a ladder that they use to slide the cargo onto the road, which Oleg, Ray Dávila (Alejandro Speitzer), and others pick up. Once they’ve taken enough, the robbers leave and join the rest in the trucks. This is where the geniuses driving finally wise up and wonder why the trucks that were behind them are going the other way now. They pull over and are dismayed to see they’ve been had. Zurdo’s so taking them out.
As for the Rocío Aljarafe (Sara Vidorreta) and Paloma, their part in this plan is to fake a car crash that keeps the road tied up long enough for the others to finish their job. We’re actually impressed that Paloma didn’t manage to mess it up somehow.
