First, Imperio de mentiras spoilers indicate they dealt some more with Leonardo “Leo” Velasco Rodríguez (Andrés Palacios) telling Elisa the investigation points at her. He begged her to take off with him, but Elisa is determined to stay and face her responsibility.
She even confessed everything the cops found out was true. Obviously, we don’t see her as going away for long, but there could be at least a few episodes with her in custody.
Meanwhile, Elisa is preparing for that possibility. She had a talk with Renata. While she didn’t come out and say what’s actually happening, she did say a long trip might be in the cards.
So, Elisa assured Renata she’s going to make sure Renata is taken care of. In fact, Renata had her first session with a new doctor in this episode and it seems like she’s dealing as well as one can in her shoes.
Definitely better than under the other one’s care. After Elisa left, she shared this with María José “Majo” Cantú Robles (Alejandra Robles Gil) and they’re both worried. We’ll see where this goes.

Elsewhere, Fer is a desperate woman. She’s actually taking her responsibility to her mother and son more seriously now that she knows her mom is dying. So when Eugenio Serrano (Alejandro Camacho) visited her before to assure her he took care of getting them out of the apartment. You know, since she didn’t.
To deal with the situation, Fer turned to the worst person possible—José Luis Velasco Rodríguez (Hernán Mendoza). Of course, we don’t believe she knows this. She explained the situation and even called Eugenio out, begging for José Luis’ help.
We got a laugh out of him going on about how he can’t help her outside of the law. Like that’s a problem for him. Eventually, she talked him into it.
However, we can’t help but think he’ll sell her out and put Fer (and her family) in an even worse spot. Fer better hope she adds something about Eugenio in tonight’s confession. More on that in the preview.

Back at the Cantú Robles home, Renata set a few things straight with Victoria. She denied attempting to hurt her mother and accused her of killing her child at the same time. All she wants from Victoria is for her to stay out of Renata’s life. We’ll see if that makes any difference. But we loved seeing one of the girls standing up to her yet again.

Finally, we have another reason to laugh at José Luis claiming he can’t do something outside of the law. We’re pretty sure he killed someone last night. See, he’d found a text from Reynaldo Ferrer (Enoc Leaño) about the divorce lawyer he’s helping Teresa get and when they’re meeting.
Teresa left for the meeting, hopeful this will end her suffering. She’s so wrong. See, later on, the police responded to a call about a dead man—Reynaldo. And Teresa was the woman who came out of the bathroom to speak to the police. We’re positive this is a set up to punish Teresa.

As for what’s ahead, Imperio de mentiras spoilers reveal Fer will ask forgiveness of Elisa tonight. You know, because she lied about her mother being dead and having a son. This will lead Elisa to find out Fer had a relationship with Fabricio Serrano (Javier Jattin)—the same man Fer kind of pushed her toward.
Meanwhile, the sisters will confront their mother about Victoria’s relationship with Eugenio. He, of course, will go on about how much he loves Victoria and tell them he wants to marry her.
