90 Day: The Single Life – Debbie Gets Emotional
As Debbie is getting ready to drive up to Canada, it all sinks in. She told the cameras, “The day has finally arrived. We’re leaving Las Vegas and we’re going to Canada. I can’t believe it’s really happening. I’m really excited. The hardest part about leaving is uncertainty. I’m giving up my life. What’s going to happen six months don’t the road if Tony and I have a big fight and he says go home? It’s just the unknown. It’s a little frightening.”
90 Day: The Single Life – Debbie Johnson’s Move to Canada Brings Out Emotions
Tony asked Debbie what she was thinking about and how she was feeling about the whole thing and she told him, “I’m leaving my whole life and where I raised Colt for 37 years. He and I have always been together. It’s going to be totally different. I’m not going to be close. Leaving this house is weird because we’ve had really good memories here. And we’ve had really bad memories here.” Tony inquired about the bad memories that she had in the house and that is when she started crying.
Debbie tells the cameras, “It’s so scary because who does this at 70 years old? Who gives up their whole life, their friends, their family, their son, and their country? Leave everything they have, to live with a man I barely know? You have to take a chance. If you feel it right in your heart you have to go with it. I’m ready to start my life over with Tony. I want to spend whatever time we have left together and be there for each other.”
As she gets ready to leave, she ended up writing Colt a letter about how it was time for them to go their separate ways. This is the hardest thing that she has ever had to do and she still has a lot of worry about it all.
