On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, we have been introduced to Steven Johnston and his girlfriend, Alina. Steven lives in Utah and is a devout Mormon. Alina lives in Russia and these two really want to find a way to be together. Little does Alina know that Steven is hiding a big secret from her and his friends started to hint at it in the first episode. Will this secret be revealed and will it change things for these young lovers?
’90 Day Fiancé’: Will They Get Married?
Alina and Steven have tried everything they can in order to be together. They want to get married, but with the pandemic in full swing, they can’t go to Russia to do it, so they plan on going to Turkey to tie the knot. While Steven is talking to his friends about it, they ask him a lot of questions and some of them aren’t sure if he can handle this type of commitment.
Steven has a big secret that he is hiding and he lays it all out. He told his friends that he has failed the church standards. He is very worried that Alina will be upset by this. He tells his friends, “I’m the best example of a church member that she knows, but I haven’t lived a perfect life. Up until this point, I haven’t been totally candid with her. I have fallen short of the standards of the church.” What is he talking about?
Once this big secret is out in the open, Steven thinks that Alina may not look at him the same way. He continues, “I’m afraid that when I reveal these things to her that it’ll make her doubt everything I’ve even told her.” Although Steven doesn’t let too much out, his friends hint at what the secret is. One of his friends, Jordan, tells him that he thinks this is all going too fast for him.
His friend Matt tells cameras, “With Steve being the way he is, he just doesn’t stick with things all of the time.” His other friend said, “I’ve seen it in his past relationships. He has kind of a hard time sticking to one relationship. I think he’s just a flirty guy. He’ll flirt with people he’s not interested in. Just as his friend, you feel like he’s flirting with you.”
Steven shares a little more with cameras, “In the past, I’ve been slow to commit. I think there are other parts of my dating history like things that are not endorsed by the church that I’m not especially proud of. I’m worried that when she finds out, it’s going to be devastating.” What is this crazy secret that he is hiding?
