TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Spoilers indicate that 90 day is returning to TLC on Sunday, Oct. 11th and we can’t wait. But before that happens, we have to address the one elephant in the room of why Brittany and Yazan’s relationship was as fraught with problems as it was from the beginning because it looks like Brittany has come clean and said a lot of things and they all kind of make sense, to tell the truth.
What Yazan and his parents would have you believe is that Brittany was refusing to convert to the Islamic way of life and had problems with Jordanian culture and was just disrespectful and unruly, but that is truly just their perception because apparently Yazan was playing both sides.

Brittany has now come out and said, “He made me feel like it was ok and then when I got there he switched up on me. Do y’all miss the parts on TV where he tells me one thing and tells his parents another and then gives me a random ultimatum because of the lies he told his parents?”

So now, we get a picture of how Yazan was telling Brittany one thing, and telling his parents another. He wasn’t attempting to really stand up for her at all, he was just telling them that she would eventually convert and be the perfect muslim wife they just had to give them enough time.
The thing is, the stuff Brittany was doing is not explicitly illegal in Jordan, it’s just frowned upon culturally. Having social media, drining, dancing, rapping suggestively, wearing immodest clothes, it’s not unlike some of our very own cultures that preach modesty to a fault and are vehemently anti-technology.
Still, it looks like Yazan’s family falls on the extreme side of this particular set of beliefs, it was Yazan’s Mother who suggested that Brittany was a prostitute for having social media.
So with Yazan trying to play both sides and get the best of both worlds, the odds were stacked against Brittany from the start. Did she lie about still being married? Yes. Did she deserve to be slut-shamed for doing nothing but having social media and dressing provacatively? No.
Definitely not. We can’t wait to see how this plays out on the show, because Sunday night promises to be explosive. Stay tuned!!!
