’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that Hazel Cagalitan’s son, Harrey, contracted a fever and had a headache according to his Stepmom, Ruby. Hazel was worried that he had COVID and even broke down crying at one point because she was so far away from her little boy during this time and COVID, like we all know, is a potentially life-threatening disease.
Thankfully, when she called to ask Ruby how he was doing, Ruby put him on facetime and we got to see that young Harrey was doing better and was all smiles at his Mom. Of course Hazel’s grief was compounded by embarassment as well, she admitted in her confessional that back in the Phillipines that young Harrey was living with his Dad because she did not have enough money to take care of him.

I don’t think that Tarik fully grasps the gravity of the situation. He suggested that they buy orange juice in order to keep little Harrey healthy, but she was quick to tell him that they did not have the money to buy orange juice.
That makes me extremely sad because we all know that Hazel hinted about coming to the US for a better life for her and her son, and now she says that while they had a plan before, they were going to get little Harrey over here the same way that Hazel came over, now they have virtually no plans becaus of Corona.
Hopefully now that a lot of the travel bans are being lifted that little Harrey can come over soon and be with his Mom, but when she told him that it could take a long time, that was absolutely heartbreaking.
I do think Tarik was honestly trying to suggest good things. He was showing little Harrey how to exercise in the house, which is proven to boost one’s immune system so it’s not a bad idea for little Harrey to keep in shape.
The thing is the Phillipines are on lockdown right now and he literally can’t go outside and play – again, heartbreaking that it had to come to this. Who ever dreamed of a world where children can’t go out to play? I think that maybe Hazel needs to sit Tarik down and tell him the ins and outs of the situation though, as embarassing as that may be so that he won’t trip up quite as badly as he did when making the assumption about orange juice.
It’s easy to assume when you live in a country like the US that everyone can afford certain staples, however in developing countries, people don’t always have that luxury. Perhaps Tarik would benefit from a little bit of education regarding exactly what life is in the Phillipines, although, consdering he’s visited twice, maybe I’m underestimating him and he already does know… try a little tact, Tarik. Stay tuned!!!
