90 Day Fiancé fans have been very interested in the update on Jon Walters’ visa since he first appeared on the show with his wife, Rachel Walters. Jon and Rachel’s story caught the eye of a lot of viewers and they were all cheering for them.
Rachel and Jon started a family together, but soon it became incredibly difficult for Rachel since Jon, who lives in England, still hadn’t received his visa to come to New Mexico to live with their family.

Just this week, Jon made a huge announcement on his Facebook account and his fans were shocked at his statement.
Jon wrote, “It’s over. I will not be joining Rachel and the girls in the USA. The future we wanted for so long isn’t the future we will have. We knew before we started that it would be hard but we always had hope to keep us going when things got tough. Our situation is hopeless and I don’t know what the next chapter in our life will look like.”
He added, “We aren’t the perfect couple, I know I’m far from the husband and father I want to be or wish I could be but long-distance relationships are only ever meant to be temporary. We need our time and space to get our heads around this and figure out what happens next. I don’t know what else to say other than thank you for all the support over the years and being here every step of the way.”
90 Day Fiancé Spoilers: The Visa Issues
Some of Jon and Rachel’s fans felt as if he has just given up on their relationship, while others felt as if all of his visa issues were to blame for their split. Jon and Rachel first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé in 2018.
Because Jon has a criminal record, they both knew that getting his visa would be complicated. Jon had been in about 50 to 60 different fights when he was younger. He had injured multiple people and one of his victims even suffered an eye injury. He didn’t go to jail, but these issues have really haunted him ever since.
Rachel couldn’t leave New Mexico to move in with Jon because of her daughter, Ella. She shares custody of Ella with her ex-husband. They really thought things were turning around in 2021 when they finally had an interview for his visa. However, after this interview, the visa was denied and the couple was devastated.
It looks like Jon and Rachel are taking some time to heal with this news. Their fans have sent them a lot of love and support and we will continue to keep an eye on them for any updates.
