’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that when Hazel Cagalitan came to the US she didn’t plannon getting here just in time for a worldwide pandemic to hit. No one counted on that.
So now she is stuck in Florida with fiance Tarik Myers on lockdown (at least at the rime of filming she was), and while maybe that wouldn’t be so bad on its own, she just got the devastating news that her son, Harry, whom she had to leave back in the Philippines with his Dad and stepmom, has now contracted a fever.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Poor Hazel!
No Mom wants to ever be separated from their child, but it makes it all the more worse when they’re sick. And this is no ordinary disease either, this is a potentially deadly virus.
Hazel broke down in the middle of working out, and told Tarik to please not ask her about her son. You can’t really blame her for not wanting to talk about it, especially considering Tarik’s own daughter, Auri, is staying with them and he gets to see her all she wants.
It seems like Hazel is kind of getting the raw end if the deal here because she did have plans to bring her son over from the Philippines after she and Tarik were married but now due to COVID that might be a longer time happening than any of them counted on.
I think all things considered Hazel is taking this pretty well, she can’t go back to the Philippines because they probably won’t let her back in at this point so there’s not anything she can really do besides keep in touch with the Dad and stepmom.
If this were any other time in history, I think Hazel might consider going back to the Philippines to be with her son. But at the time of this filming it was COVID lockdown and if Hazel had left the US then she probably wouldn’t have been able to get back in.
There is also a chance that her home country would not have allowed her back in either but that chance was kind of slim. Still, at the time of this filming it was 45 days until hwr wedding so I guess she decided to stick it out and hope for the best.
The thing is, so far Hazel’s former partner seems to be a pretty capable parent so I have no doubt that her son is in good hands. Still, that doesn’t heal the broken heart of a Mom. So before we judge Hazel and write her off completely for not bringing her son over with her when she came, let’s try a little empathy first.
Obviously, she doesn’t want to be separated from him and perhaps just didn’t want him to get attached to Tarik as a Dad figure in case things didn’t work out, which is kind of a wise decision honestly. Hopefully, he’ll be alright. Stay tuned!!!
