’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that Ronald Smith, the south African husband of Tiffany Franco, almost let his 1 year old daughter take the plastic bag challenge. Now, I’m no expert on plastic bags in South Africa, but here in the United States they have a clearly printed warning label on them telling people to keep out of reach of children, and they have for a long time.
In fact I can remember having my own Mom read me the warning as a toddler, I couldn’t have been more than 3 or 4, but I remember being curious about what a grocery bag could possibly say.

However, when little Carly started crying, his first instinct was to give her a plastic bag. I think it’s clear to see that Ronald was sorely unprepared for having a small child. At least with Daniel, he’s old enough so that Ronald’s foibles won’t seriously hurt him. A nine year old can read and most have been taught that “bad gut feelings” usually lead to “bad things”.
But Carly is not quite verbal yet, you can tell by how she still cries and clings to her Mom and can’t really tell anyone what she wants yet. That’s okay, it’s natural for a child her age. However… what was Ronald thinking?
How is it ever okay for you to think that handing a plastic bag to a child to play with is okay? I cannot seriously think of any parents who have seriously done this in at least the last 3 decades. Not even the most redneck of parents (and trust me, I grew up in the Southeast), not even the ones who let their children ride in the bed of the truck with the tailgate down while it was doing 50MPH on the highway, have ever done this.
I am pretty sure that when we get to the reunion, all of the cast will be judging him harshly for this particularly questionable parenting decision. Thank God Tiffany was there and still in Mom mode, but Tiffany’s going to have to take a nap sometime. Bless that poor child, Lord. Stay tuned!!!
