’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that Asuelu Pulaa made a huge show out of apologizing to wife Kalani Pulaa and told her that basically all he wanted was a life with her in their own space, which equates to them buying a house. He thinks that what’s driving them apart is Kalani’s family, which includes sister-in-law Kolini, who’s recently come back home to stay with the family while she figures out another housing situation because her lease ran out.
When Kalani told her about Asuelu’s big change, Kolini cautioned against buying a house together because Kalani is still not sure about their future together. She has a point, if Kalani and Asuelu do end up divorcing, there would be a whole house to think about.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Kolini doesn’t buy Asuelu’s change
Kolini suggested renting a house together before buying a house, but Asuelu says that renting is just throwing your money away. Kolini thinks that the real issue with Asuelu wanting their own space is the fact that without Kalani’s family around that she will have no choice but to bend to his will all the time and she won’t have the support she needs to keep Asuelu in check, and honestly, Kolini has a point.
This is Kalani’s husband so of course she’s going to want to believe that he has her best interest at heart, but Asuelu seems to have the foul temper of a moody 15 year old boy when he’s angry and the only thing Kalani can do to appease him usually is to fall in line.
When he walked out last year and he was so volatile on that trip in the car, calling Kalani a bitch, he flew all the way off the handle in a really scary way. Often, abusers will isolate women from their own family before things escalate, sometimes not even then.
They will make big shows of apologizing and crying to get their way, just as Asuelu has, so while he hasn’t really gotten physical with Kalani, one wonders if that could be the next step and if this new house with their own space could be a portal to hell for Kalani and the kids.
