’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal there’s some commentary going around the 90 day fandom that Kim Menzies, fiancé of Usman Umar, is a predator judging from the way she acts. But the question is, is she? Some might argue yes because let’s face it, Kim is thirsty.
Over the duration of the show she has had to come out on social media several times and apologize to the fanbase for acting really toxic towards Usman, like the part where she told him that he would have to answer to her son, or the time she dashed water in his face for laughing at her, or the times that she has flipped out (though arguably less so than ex Baby Girl Lisa Hamme) about Usman talking to other women.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Is Kim Menzies A Predator? – Acts Incredibly Toxic Towards Usman Umar
We do have to keep in mind that Usman and Kim come from completely different generations and obviously some things are going to get lost in translation there but the thing that the fanbase is really uncomfortable with is how Kim always seemed to want to be physically intimate with Usman, and he wasn’t into it.
He straight up told her that there were things that he did that were just for her benefit, implying that he wasn’t comfortable with going as far as they did. However, it begs the question, did they ever really discuss the possibility of being physically intimate before she went to Tanzania to be with him?
Because it came off like something that had never even occurred to Usman, and we all know that Usman acted way differently with baby girl Lisa.
Perhaps it was just him being shy the second time around and not wanting to get into anything to deep with another older, American woman, or perhaps he was simply saving himself for Zara which he honestly seemed to be doing considering how he lit up during their phone call, he lit up in a way that he never did with either baby Girl Lisa or Kim, and that clues us in as to who he really wants which seems to be neither Lisa nor Kim, but this Zara person, a person who the 90 day fandom isn’t even acquainted with until now.
While the narrative of Kim as a predator might work in a scenario where Usman truly didn’t know what he was getting into, it also takes a lot of agency away from him as a grown man who is capable of making his own decisions.
He didn’t have to let Kim come see him in Tanzania and he didn’t have to encourage her at all over social media and let her believe that he was at all interested in her when he was just biding his time until the girl was truly interested in – Zara – came around. In fact, was that Usman’s true plan? To make Zara jealous by being with Kim on this reality TV show? It begs the question.
Kim, at least in my opinion, does not strike me as so much a predator as she does as an extreme groupie who never matured past her teenage years. There are a lot of groupies who have, in the past, behaved exactly like Kim and that does not make it okay but it does sort of explaining why she acted the way she acted.
A predator would have been more calculating, Kim’s feelings and motivations did seem to be extremely ‘in the heat of the moment’. They still do not deserve to be applauded, and yes, they were uncomfortable. No means no, no matter what gender you are. Kim needs a bit of a #metoo education. Stay tuned!!!
