’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that, when Ella Johnson started dating her Chinese boyfriend, Johnny, she said that he didn’t make her feel unwanted as she had in the past (Ella is plus size.) But that’s only Johnny, clearly, his friends and family do not share his openness when it comes to body type and have already started body-shaming Ella in front of Johnny.
His friends were pretty pig-headed about things, and said things implying that Ella would kill Johnny the first time they were together romantically, saying that Johnny couldn’t take it, use your imagination there. Still.

Johnny however didn’t take the comments lying down, he simply disagreed with them and moved on to the next topic of conversation. It’s actually amazing to see someone who’s so confident in their preference and their partner’s appearance that they don’t let their friends’ opinions shake them.
That’s really uncommon here in American culture, if a guy got that kind of ribbing from his friends he would get all offended and defensive about who he’s dating instead of simply brushing off the comments like Johnny did.
However Johnny’s family is a bit more worrisome and usually, as we’ve seen in the majority of these cases, the Mother-in-law has a lot of sway with the son (Betty and Brandon Gibb anyone? Colt and Debbie Johnson?
There’s more!), and Johnny’s Mother seems dead-set against Ella from the start, commenting on how much she eats and even saying that the portions in America are too large. He was pretty non-reactive to it, but one wonders if it bothered him just a little bit to know what hsi own Mom thought of Ella.
Johnny ended up going to a chinese medicine specialist to get Ella weight loss herbs to bring with him when he went to the US. But one wonders if he will actually get to make that journey, because as we saw in next week’s preview he is the primary breadwinner of his family’s household. With Johnny gone, what are they do to about money?
Will Ella send back money for his parents to live on? Or is Johnny going to apply for a work visa so he can get to work when he comes to the US ASAP so that he can continue to support his family back in China? It does beg the question of just how things are going to work for this couple, and is his family ultimately going to accept Ella? Stay tuned!!!
