’90 Day Fiancé’ spoilers find that the first episode of the show for 2021 started out in an idyllic rural Virginia setting yet there were no little birdies chirping while a rooster crowed good morning to rouse the Gibbs Family farmers.
Nope. In the cover of darkness, the Gibbs family had all slipped from their home to head to their day jobs, leaving Russian native Julia all alone on her first full day in Virginia. Social Media users took to Twitter during last night’s broadcast on TLC to express their disgust at the treatment of the city girl and go-go dancer by trade.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Fans Reach Out To ‘Enslaved’ Julia Trubkina
Some wanted to know who was in charge of the animals before Julia arrived on American shores while others blasted family friend, Aspen for ridiculing Julia’s first attempt at forced farming.
While Aspen didn’t have nice words for Julia, calling her a princess and lazy (methinks there might be some underlying jealousy on Aspen’s behalf), Twitter users had some more, ah, colorful terms to describe Aspen in return.
Unfortunately, things only got worse for Julia as the episode continued. First her fiancé Brandon Gibbs “forgot” to greet her upon his arrival home, then reminded her that sMother Betty had once again over-scheduled the couple like they were middle-graders with an A-type parent trying to get them into an Ivy League college.
Julia was forced into having dinner with Pop-Pop “Russian women use sexual entrapment” Joe who, in the end, came to the couple’s defense when sMother Betty made a song and dance about the hickey on Julia’s neck.
The real histrionics came, however, when Julia and Brandon had the audacity to announce they wanted to set the date and get married CLOSE to Mother’s Day. Thus far Julia becomes the darling of Season 8, with most 90 Day fans tweeting that she is too good for Brandon (and his sMother) and should go back to Russia. Others suggested starting a GoFundMe for a one-way ticket and one fellow Virginian offered to drive out to the farm to collect Julia, she only had to blink twice at the cameras.
As tough as things are for Julia right now, she seems like a tough girl who isn’t a brat (here’s looking at you, Yara and Natalie) but will stand up for herself when it’s needed. It also seems that for some inexplicable reason, she really does love her fiancé Brandon. Maybe it’s 2021 optimism, but I can see this one working.
