On the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Sumit Singh called his family so that they could have dinner and talk about things with his wife, Jenny Slatton. In fact, her daughter, Christina was in India visiting and she wanted to state her case and her mother’s to his family. Things didn’t exactly go the way that Sumit had planned and when Jenny opened her mouth, we were all shocked.

As soon as things started to escalate with Jenny’s daughter and Sumit’s family, they were quick to tell her that their relationship is not acceptable in their culture. They asked her to understand where they are coming from and that is when her daughter told them that they love Sumit as much as they love Jenny and she just couldn’t see why the feeling wasn’t the same after ten years for his family. She tells Sumit’s father, “I just would like for you to maybe just open a little bit of your heart.”

Apparently, his marriage is making his mother physically ill and that is why she never shows up when he asks to see her. She just can’t take the heartache of seeing him with Jenny. Sumit’s father then tells them that his wife will never budge on this subject. It is just not acceptable for them.
Jenny then says, “I’m never gonna be accepted. I don’t want to take him away from his family, but I think maybe it’s better if we go ahead and live in America then. And then maybe we won’t be upsetting the family so much. We won’t be seen together, I guess.”
Sumit just sits there as silently as he can be. He never backed Jenny up when she said this to his family and that was pretty surprising. He should stand up for his wife through everything, but he always just plays the silent game until they are alone and then he asks her why she says these things.
It is obvious that he can’t stand up for himself. In a confessional, he said, “I’m shocked that Jenny brought up moving to America to my family. I’m scared that, how they gonna feel and how they are gonna react.” When his father asks Jenny if they are planning on moving, she tells him, “Yeah, we are planning on it.”
