On 90 Day FiancĂ©: Happily Ever After, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are now married and it is time to start their life together as a married couple. One of the major issues they must deal with is how they will make money so that they can pay bills. Sumit hasn’t been working for quite some time and in the next episode, he will bring up the fact that he needs to start working again. Jenny is retired, so she is pretty comfortable with not working and staying at home. This is going to turn into quite a big argument though.
90 Day FiancĂ©: Happily Ever After – Sumit Wants to Work
Sumit starts to plan out when he will go back to work and what his new schedule will be. He told Jenny that he wants to go back to cooking and open up his food business again with his close friend. He was doing that before the pandemic broke out and he loves cooking and it makes him very happy.
90 Day FiancĂ©: Happily Ever After – Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh Talk Jobs and Finances
He knows that Jenny wants to live the retired life, but he is only 33 years old and knows that he needs to make money of his own too. He tells her that he plans on working six days a week and she tells him that is too much!
Jenny gets very upset with Sumit and tells him, “You’re my husband and we need to be together more than just one day a week.” He tells her that she is the only person he goes out with and Jenny gets upset that he is talking about work during what should be their honeymoon.
This is a conversation that they need to have though. She tells the cameras, “I’ve sacrificed a lot to come and live here with Sumit in India and I worked hard my whole life. I want to relax and enjoy my life with my husband. I mean, I didn’t fight this hard to marry Sumit so that he can go off and work six days a week and leave me home alone.”
Will Jenny realize that Sumit needs to work in order to make money for them? Sumit wants to follow his dreams, just as she had her chance and this age gap may get in the way when it comes to their work ethic. Jenny could easily go out and get a job of her own too, but she hasn’t learned the language, so that could put a damper on that.
