There have been so many rumors that these two will not end up together and Mike wanted to set the record straight on why they are on the show. He told a fan, “I love the franchise and really wanted to share a once in a lifetime experience with my girlfriend so I can share my love story.”
He also had fans ask him if he was going to be on the show again if things didn’t work out for him and Ximena. Of course, that fan wanted some hints, but it took him a while to answer the question. He basically told that fan that he felt that he wouldn’t feel right doing a show without Ximena.
The most interesting part of this question and answer session was that Mike never used Ximena’s name. He didn’t even call her his fiancé, he used the word “girlfriend.” From what we have seen on this Q&A session, they are broken up, but he has done a good job of hiding it. This could be because he doesn’t want to break his contract with TLC.
