On 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Ben Rathbun flew out to Peru to meet his girlfriend, Mahogany Roca. Things have been very weird between them since they met and they both feel that they lied about how they looked and things have just been off for them over the past few episodes. Now it looks as if Mahogany has some thoughts about where she and Ben stand right now.

Ben wants nothing more than to be with Mahogany and marry her. They have an age difference of about 30 years and this is very awkward for them and her parents. Ben has felt very uneasy since they met and he wanted to have a deeper conversation with her about what was on her mind. What he got was not what he expected though.

Mahogany’s friends got a chance to meet Ben and they are quick to tell him that Mahogany has never mentioned him as a romantic interest. This was a shock to him because they have texted each other about how much they love one another. That is when he asks her if he is her boyfriend. She tells him, “I think friend. You never told me, ‘Oh, Mahogany, do you want to be my girlfriend?'” She did tell the cameras that Ben has talked about marriage, but she didn’t think he was serious.
Ben tells cameras,” Here we had been planning a family together, planning on getting married, having intimate conversations. I traveled 4,000 miles to be with her, and all of a sudden I’m not even her boyfriend. I am so shocked, I just don’t understand where she’s coming from. I’m just really confused by the whole thing. I am very confused but I want to give Mahogany the benefit of the doubt because she is very young and this is all very new, and it’s intimidating.”
She does end up admitting that she told Ben she loved him, but she took it in a different way. Ben does tell her that this hurt his feelings and he was confused because they had talked about marriage before. She tells cameras, “For me it’s normal before you get into a relationship to talk about things like marriage or family to know if we’re on the same page. But Benjamin assumed we were already in a relationship.”
