18-year-old actor and star of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Tyler Sanders has reportedly died from a drug overdose.

The news comes as a massive shock, especially in light of the fact that he had his whole career in front of him. Having made his name on 9-1-1 and also ‘Fear the Walking Dead,’ the actor did have the world at his feet. And yet, it appears that behind the scenes, things were not so rosy.
It is alleged that he did have a history of drug issues, with the authorities finding a plastic straw and what appeared to be white powder within the vicinity of the room where he died.
A source confirmed to TMZ the following: “Tyler’s friends called police to conduct a welfare check because they had not heard from him following a night out … and that’s what led to his body being discovered.”
With that being said, the funeral has already been conducted. His father David Sanders was apparently on hand to give a eulogy before confirming that his son did indeed die of a drug overdose. This begs the question: how long was substance abuse an issue?
Well, reports further stress Tyler began to suffer from depression when he started filming for 9-1-1. And given that this impacted his ability to feel happy, it may have contributed towards any alleged substance abuse.
Regardless of whether or not that was the case, the fans on social media were heartbroken by the news. A significant proportion of fans were devastated that another person had lost their life to a case of drugs.
One person wrote: “Sad another young person dies of a drug overdose. Time for North American governments to adopt a harm reduction policy and decriminalize and help addicted people get clean.”
