Charlie Newling was born in 1987 in Sydney, Australia. He had a difficult life riddled with family problems, legal woes, and alcohol and drug abuse.

Newling became known as “Mr. Perfect” by reality TV viewers. Rumors were swirling when Newling became abusive toward his reality TV co-star, Ali Oetjen, when they were in a relationship.
He refused to introduce her to his family until they were an “official” couple. After they fired him from the show, people saw him in bar fights, and someone wrestled him to the ground at a bar in Sydney.
Newling later admitted that he had been drinking and partying with his friends when he was involved in an altercation with a bouncer late at night at a bar.
In September 2022, he sent threatening texts to his stepfather, and the authorities jailed Newling. There were about 37 text messages in total that he sent to him. He threatened to wait outside his house and slit his throat when he left for work.
He claimed to be watching him and said ominously, “I know all your movements.”
In court, the judge understood that Newling had suffered from childhood trauma. He had to care for his paraplegic father, who died when Newling was younger.
Newling spent a month in jail and was then released to serve his sentence in the community. People think his unsettling behavior toward his stepfather was due to a drug and alcohol problem.

Unfortunately, Newling returned to his drug-using ways. He started partying again and drinking heavily. It became clear that Newling needed help. He checked himself into a rehab facility in 2022.
Newling’s life was cut short by tragedy, and some suspected that he may have killed himself.
