Former ‘Bachelorette‘ contestant Josh Seiter made news the other day when it was announced on his social media page that he had died. Many were shocked by the news of the 36-year-old and attributed it to his battle with depression and anxiety.
However, the truth has shockingly come out now as it has been revealed the Seiter is alive and well.
A video Tuesday was released claiming the account had been hacked and taken over by someone else, and that the post was just a hoax. “As you can see I am alive and well,” he said.
“My account was hacked. For the last 24 hours I had been trying desperately to get into it. Somebody was playing a cruel joke and mocking my mental illness and the struggles I’ve gone through with depression and suicide attempts.”
Seiter apologized to his followers for the confusion but many believe that this doesn’t pass the sniff test.

Did Former ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Josh Seiter Fake His Own Death Hoax On Social Media?
While the video addresses that he claims someone was playing a cruel joke, we wonder if this wasn’t something cooked by up Seiter himself. Over the years, he has been desperate for attention, and has gone above and beyond to get it, reaching out to media companies and websites with ‘exclusive’ stories.
While it may seem disingenuous to claim that someone feigned their own death for social media attention, Seiter has a track record for doing things for the clout, and now he may be receiving a ton of reaction from his followers and soaking up every minute of it.
As of right now, the post has been deleted and his video doesn’t appear to have any comments on it. Was this truly a case of someone trying to break into his account to fake his death and why? What would they stand to gain from it. Or was Seiter simply trying to garner more love and appreciation from his fans?
