‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is having a crisis of conscience where his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is concerned. He has realized that his goal to keep his personal life separated from his job has become impossible. What is he going to do about it?

GH’s Dante has not wanted to let the fact that Sonny Corinthos is a known mob boss to impact his job on the police force. While he does care about his father personally, he knows that he must obey the law. He doesn’t want it to appear that Sonny is getting any favors from his son.
When Sonny beat up Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to within an inch of his life, Dante arrested his father. He knew that he could not give his father an exception. This is something that Dante tries to be very careful about, but he feels that his stance is now being challenged.

But now, Dante feels a little troubled. His father is feeling cornered and betrayed by everyone in his life. He visited Dante, bringing him an expensive gift. Sonny told Dante that he is the only person in his family who he can trust. That felt coercive to Dante.
Dante admits to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) that he feels that his resolution to keep his personal life apart from his professional life is feeling challenged. He admits that when he heard that GH’s Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was joining the PCPD, his first thought was, how will this impact Sonny?
The fact that he had this thought come to mind bothers him. It shows that he is concerned about his father’s safety, even if Sonny has done something wrong.
Dante asks Sam a challenging question. His father is a known gangster involved in criminal enterprises in Port Charles. Why has he not been charged? Dante wonders at this, asking himself if he is also involved with protecting Sonny.
The tide is turning against Sonny, with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) seeking to charge him with beating up Cyrus. Is Dante going to go along with them in this or will he truly look for a way to help Sonny?
