Since he arrived in Salem, Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) has been one of ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers’ favorite characters as he’s been fun, witty, and mysterious.

Over the last few weeks, the layers of his mystery have been unraveling more and more, and it looks like we may have an idea about what’s really going on in his head.

We’ve been thinking he’s been suffering from alters as Bobby Stein seems to be as different from Everett as possible, to the point Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) went from saying they were good until they weren’t to referring to him as a sociopath.

The fact she kept his picture on her phone while also saying she wanted to move on and forget about it seemed like lazy writing at the time, but her sudden about face got us wondering.

And then there’s his punching Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) when he though Eric was going to hurt Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) on Tuesday, May 21’s episode.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – More than Jekyll and Hyde

In a recent interview, the actor talked about how he was in a Jekyll and Hyde type of storyline, but it looks to be so much more.

At first ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers thought that Bobbie was his psychotic half, or darker half like in the old story.

But now it looks like Bobby is a defense mechanism when Everett needs someone to be strong and confront abusive people.

It’s an old storyline used in television and movies where alters appear to protect their main personality, and they can appear in various ways.

In Everett’s case, Bobby may be a representation of his stronger self after he wasn’t able to defend his mom. Or maybe he did?

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – More questions ahead

During his sessions with Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall), Everett said he saw himself and was scared of him, and that came after he asked him mom about why something happened.

Looking back, we think it’s possible that his father was abusing his mother, and he either wasn’t able to step in, or he did and something bad happened.

Bobby could either be his main personality and Everett’s his good side, or Everett is the main one and Bobby is his darker side.

It depends on a couple of things, one being how did he refer to himself as a child. Bobby is his first name, and if he went by that of his middle name Everett as some do, that’ll tell us which of his personalities are the original.

Or his original one could be buried by these two ever since that day he defended his mom.

What do you think could be the cause of Everett’s alters? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
