‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been wondering how long it’d take for things to heat up between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West), and it looks like the time is now.
At least, that’s how it appears. Sonny’s in an emotion whirlwind right now and Ava’s the only calm influence he has and she hasn’t betrayed him.
Of course, this doesn’t mean anything will happen as Thursday, March 7’s show ended with it looking like Sonny was going to kiss her, but it could’ve just been a camera shot to fool us.
It’d make sense if he would start falling for her since they’re living together and as we mentioned, she’s been there for him.
But what about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers doesn’t think Ava is trying to win Sonny over, but she’s still managing it, mainly because everything is a perfect storm involving him right now.
With friends and family betraying him right and left, he’s going to hold onto those who haven’t turned on him and Ava is the only woman in his life he can say that about.
Nina turned Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the SEC and Carly joined Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in hiring Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to babysit, er, protect Sonny since he’s incapable of doing that himself.
So it’s only natural something would grow between them, but we also think Ava will try to put a stop to it. At least for the time being.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Nina’s best friend
While friendships and family don’t usually mean a whole lot in soap operas, Ava does value Nina’s friendship, and as her bestie she does want to see her and Sonny back together again.
Though it could take a while.
Because of that, we think Ava will try to defuse Sonny’s affections for the time being to save her friendship and may turn the heat up on Nina to find a way to win Sonny back.
Nina will be frustrated and not know what else she can do, but Ava will try to motivate her.
The reason is that Ava knows something is happening with Sonny and she knows she won’t be able to hold it off for long, so she’ll push Nina to work some magic.
We expect her to fail and for Ava and Sonny to become the new power couple as Ava is everything Carly and Nina aren’t with her past, and that can only be an asset to him.
Until she turns on him at some point.
