‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been wracking our brains trying to figure out how the show is going to tie Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth)’s murder with the shooting at the Savoy on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Nothing about it makes sense given the presents delivered to Ava Jerome (Maura West) screamed of being from Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), but a fan theory makes sense.
It requires retconning to tie them both together and give Nikolas a clean bill of conscience and they may pretend Ava didn’t get any notes or a present, but they could set things up for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)’s return.
To do that, the theory is that Jason was brain washed by the WSB to go after Sonny, and that’s why Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) is going to be so smug.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Austin was a test
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have to admit with some imagination this could be pulled off. The way we think it could go is they’ll make Jason be the one that killed Austin, not for any real reason bust as a test run to make sure their programming stuck.
If Jason’s devoid of his loyalties and morals, he’d be the perfect assassin, the perfect killing machine. Afterall, he was Sonny’s top enforcer and right hand man, so he can do it all.
Sure, we’ll have to forget that Austin recognized his killer along with the messages Ava was sent, but it won’t be the first time the show has retconned a storyline to fit. Though they have been doing it more and more lately since the old writers came back.
Maybe the new writing team can settle things down?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Sonny wasn’t always the target
In the beginning, Sonny and Pikeman had a decent working relationship until that first shot was taken at him, and we think that was mean to scare him into line by showing him how vulnerable he is.
Then at the Metro Court, Jason missed for any possible reason. Maybe his programming failed or hit a glitch and he had a momentary jerk that cause him to miss and the shot to ricochet and hit Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
It’d be a cool way to bring Jason back since everyone would be happy to see him and he could continue to slip under their radar to carry out his mission, similar to the storyline on ‘Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem’ when Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) brain washed him for her purposes.
