‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are used to characters and actors coming and going, but we were excited last year when Steve Burton signed a one year deal to play Harris Michaels following reprising the role in 2022 on ‘Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter Two’.
We expected so much from his return to Salem, and while his time thus far is mixed for us, we’re sad that he’s leaving.
He announced on social media that he shot his final scenes just before the holidays, but since the show shoots 6 months in advance we’ll get to see him until around March or April.
Of course, this also leads to questions on whether he’ll come back here and there, whether his character will be killed off, and will he return to ‘General Hospital’ to officially close out his run there.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Saying goodbye
Before he officially left ‘Days’ Steve recorded the above message to the fans and shared it to his Youtube channel.
“Well, I just shot my final scenes here on Days of Our Lives and I just wanna say, thank you so much to the cast, to the crew. It’s been amazing. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. So, thank you so much to the fans. It’s just… I’m always so full of gratitude. So, thank you. Stay tuned.”
Since returning to Salem, Harris entered into a relationship with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) as the show looked to capitalize on their time from ‘General Hospital’ as Jason Morgan and Carly Spencer.
He also became a police officer, and is frankly one of the best if not the best, and it looks like he’s going to be drawn into the drug storyline currently going on and get shot while with Ava.
Knowing the pace the show runs at, that will probably happen in the next couple of weeks and that’ll leave months for him and Ava to repair their relationship or for him to move onto another one.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Not the best run so far
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have enjoyed watching him and Ava in action, but to be honest, his run as Harris has been largely disappointing so far.
It seemed like the writers didn’t know what to do with him or how to write for him for a while, but lately he’s started to pick up some steam.
Granted, soaps are a slow burn storyline and character building wise, and we have six more months to see what’s in store for Harris and we’re hopeful he’ll make a major impact that’ll end his run in style.
We’re excited to see what the show has in store for him to end his run and it should be pretty fun. And then there’s going to be plenty of speculation as to whether or not he’ll return to ‘GH’.
