‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is saying that performer Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) and his wife Kaitlin are expecting a New Year’s miracle in the form of a new baby girl. Jordi and his wife are at the hospital awaiting the arrival of their new child.
Kaitlin Had to Have a Procedure in September
Jordi and Kaitlin have been open about their struggles to have a baby and about Kaitlin’s two heartbreaking miscarriages, she suffered before she became pregnant with this child.
The pregnancy has been a blessing for both Jordi and Kaitlin. At the beginning of the pregnancy, Kaitlin had to have a procedure performed on her.
She underwent a cervical cerclage in September. The surgery is typically performed when the patient’s cervix is not strong enough to hold the baby.
There are possible complications that can occur from having the surgery. Fortunately, it was a success, and everything went smoothly.
Jordi and Kaitlin depend on their faith in God and each other to get them through their pregnancy journey. Jordi once again asks everyone to pray for his wife and new baby.
Vilasuso took to Instagram this weekend and wrote this message:
“It looks like we are in for one more surprise before we ring in the New Year! Baby girl is a bit early (35 weeks), but we are so blessed that we were able to make it this far. What a miracle! Thank you for each prayer that has been sent up for our family, and we ask you for one more as this little lady comes into the world! God bless you all! P.S. My wife has been and continues to be so strong and faithful. I’ve been in awe of how you’ve been able to keep your and our spirits high throughout this arduous and joyous journey….You will forever be my Katie girl…..LOVE YOU SO MUCH!”
Many Followers Posted Their Well-Wishes to Jordi and Kaitlin
Many followers posted their well-wishes to mommy and daddy Vilasuso on Instagram. One of Kaitlin’s friends said,
“Well, I’m over here bawling my eyes out. I love you all so much. The strongest woman, Kaitlin Vilasuso, has always been our role model in real life. Words can’t describe how perfect you are! I can’t wait to meet miracle baby!”
Someone posted these words of encouragement,
“Congratulations to you and the family on the new addition. I know how those surprises go! My daughter, who’s about to turn five next week, surprised me at 36 weeks.”
Another person wrote,
“Congratulations! My son Joaquim was born at 35 weeks! All will be well! Happy New Year to you and your family! Kaitlin Valasuso, blessings to you and your new baby!”
Someone else wrote,

The happy couple have been together for 11 years and share two other children, Riley Grace and Everly Maeve. In addition to his role as Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless, you may also recognize Jordi from other soaps.
