‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have noticed how TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) has been acting moody and off since he saw Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and some sharp eyes fans may have figured out why.

It’s been a couple of years since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)’s last run in Port Charles as a free man, but during that time Cyrus took an interest in TJ as a way of controlling his mother, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: TJ Remembers Mason Kidnapped Him for Cyrus Renault

The first time he was kidnapped and held to convince Jordan to work with Cyrus, and the second time TJ was beaten and dropped off at General Hospital by Cyrus’ people.

While ‘General Hospital’ don’t remember seeing Mason in those scenes, some fans either did or they speculated that’s where TJ knows him from.

It makes sense it’d take TJ a while to recognize him it that’s the case. It’s been a couple of years and with the patients and other he’s seen since Mason’s face may have been lost in the crowd.

But it doesn’t look like that’s the case anymore as TJ’s pretty upset and adamant that he’s seen someone before, and Mason does seem like the one since he’s been doing a lot of Renault’s heavy lifting.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Quite the history

Given TJ’s anger, we think it’s safe to say Mason was either the one that beat him or oversaw that and the kidnapping.

As the boss, he’d stand out a little more to TJ, or maybe it’s his voice since TJ may not have gotten a clear look at times.

Either way, it looks like TJ is ready for some payback, and this should be interesting to see how it plays out.

We may be mistaken since the show often goes by their own rules, but it would still be in the statute of limitations since it was only a couple of years, so TJ could want to press charges.

This will open up a whole other can of problems for Mason to deal with since he disobeyed Cyrus’ orders concerning Ava Jerome (Maura West).

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Making a deal

Since Mason probably can’t rely on Cyrus’ help after his screw up, he could be looking to make a deal to alleviate any trouble, and he may tap his cousin for that.

Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) won’t be willing to help him after he tried to kill Ava, so we think Mason will threaten to tell the police he kidnapped Ava at Austin’s behest.

'General Hospital' Spoilers: Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) LYING? How Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) React

Of course, he’ll have memory issues if Austin can convince TJ not to press charges or that he’s mistaken, and that’s going to be an awfully big ask given how sure TJ is.

Austin may want to find another line of work. We don’t think he’s going to be welcomed in the medical field or in Port Charles after all of this.

Is Mason the one that kidnapped and beat up TJ before? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
