‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are glad Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) didn’t kill Ava Jerome (Maura West), but his failure is going to leave him in a very uncomfortable spot, and we don’t mean because he was shot twice.
Ava lucked out that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was able to track her down with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)’s help, and Dex was lucky Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived when he did.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Mason’s Going to Have to Make a Difficult Decision
It was a curious series of circumstances, and it all came about because Mason refused to follow Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)’s orders and return Ava home.
For one, it showed that Cyrus isn’t all bad since eliminating her would’ve been the easy way theoretically, but because Mason disobeyed him it’s going to make him a liability.
And the fun’s only just beginning there.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Interrogation time
Now that he’s in custody and being held at ‘General Hospital’, Mason will be the hot topic of questioning by the police, and ‘General Hospital’ expect him to refuse to talk since that means he’ll be a dead man.
It’ll also give him a chance to try and convince Cyrus that he was following orders and Ava tried to run and things went sideways from there.
Cyrus won’t believe him, but there will be the brief hope.
And when Cyrus finds out what he did, or even suspects it, Mason’s days are numbered and he’s not in a position where he can defend himself.
So, that means he’ll be in prime position to turn on Cyrus and rat him out about everything.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Let the race begin!
We’re looking forward to seeing how it all plays out, but to be honest, we think Mason’s already dead. Cyrus was already saying how he outlived his usefulness, so there will probably be a assassin sent to kill him.
In a strange twist, it wouldn’t surprise us if Cyrus tries to convince Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to do the deed since he is a doctor and could be the one that treats Mason.
Given how much grief Mason has given him and how he tried to kill Ava, it may not take much to push him over the edge to the point he’ll do something to Mason.
While he’ll be willing to step over the line, he’ll catch himself and pull back, insisting Mason will either tell everyone the truth or Cyrus will take him out.
Knowing how this show likes to operate, this will be about the time someone does kill Mason and Austin will be left looking like the guilty party.
Will Mason live long enough to turn on Cyrus? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
