‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) might be better served by deciding to align themselves against their father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Adam has one perspective and Nick has another, but perhaps it is time for them to finally get on the same page.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Relationship with Father
Adam has always been the one who is against his father’s plans and schemes. That is because he is tired of being controlled by dear old Dad. While he might need his father’s capital and his resources, Victor always needs to call the shots. He won’t give Adam any freedom to do as he sees best.
When Adam does try to do his own thing and be separate from the Newmans, his father still tries to coerce him to rejoin the family business.
Family is supposedly really important to Victor, even though he obviously favors some of his children over others. So, Adam continues to rebel against his father’s plans because he truly sees what his father is really like.
Nick tends to back away from the family drama. He tends to support his father and his decisions more often. He wants to keep the peace and he knows that his father will do whatever it takes for the Newman family business. For Nick the adage seems to be “Daddy knows best” but is that really the case anymore?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Joining Forces?
It appears that Nick and Adam may be starting to see some things in the same light. Victor offered Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) a job and when she was still deciding, he worked behind the scenes to get her current job at Chancellor-Winters assigned to another design company.
When she came to tell him “yes” to the job, he pulled the offer. He isn’t going to open a design division after all.
Nick and Adam do care about Sally and see what a trash move this is. Why would Victor get Sally off the job she had just to decline the offer he extended to her? It’s actually a pretty evil thing to do.
Adam and Nick seem to agree on this. While they confront Victor about it, they don’t get him to change his decision or make some kind of compensatory action toward Sally.
They also seem to be agreeing that Victor has some plans for their company that they aren’t really on board with. What will that mean for them and for Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case)?
How are they going to deal with this challenge? Are they finally going to all join forces to get Victor our of their business once and for all? What do you think?
