Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are bleeding money. That’s certainly no secret. They lost their $20 million contract with Spotify. Christian Dior wants nothing to do with them. And there’s also speculation that Netflix is telling them to step it up or step out. Times are tough for the Sussexes.
Meghan Markle’s money woes are forcing her back into acting because she’s gotta pay the bills. And she and Prince Harry sure have a lot of them. The electricity bill over at that $14 million dollar Montecito mansion isn’t going to pay for itself.
So, what kind of work is Meghan Markle going to do now? Is she going back to television shows? Or will she try her hand at Hollywood movies? It goes without saying that only the Duchess of Sussex knows that answer.
Back in 2020, there was some speculation that Harry and Meghan were going to do lucrative commercial work in places like Asia and Europe. But that hasn’t happened. But then again, if Meghan’s acting career were to pick up, it would have already happened. The Sussexes have been in California for well over three years now and Meghan has not received any offers or even scripts to read over.
The Duchess Of Sussex Has Limited Options Now
Maybe some movie producers aren’t very star-struck over Meghan’s royal status. They still remember her as a television actress that only had one hit show on a basic cable network. The only reason she became a household name was because she married a prince.
But even if you factor all of that in, a girl has to do what a girl has to do. Meghan knows that her options are limited and that acting might be the easiest way to bring in some steady income, even if she does get highly criticized for it. Could you imagine? The British tabloids would have a field day.
