‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that Portia Robison (Brook Kerr) needs to pay attention and stop being selfish. She thinks her way is the right way, and it is only going to end badly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tragic Events
A recent shooting at the Metro Court pool turned out terribly for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Three shots were fired at an unknown target, but one bullet ricocheted and hit Curtis in the spine. He was rushed to surgery, and they were not sure if he would survive.
Curtis almost did not make it through surgery. He had a near death experience but had the strong feeling he had to get back to his daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and ended up making it through.
The difficult discovery was that he can’t feel anything in his legs. He is not able to move or walk. His upper body is fine and strong, but he will be in a wheelchair for the unforeseeable future.
This is devastating to Curtis. He is a proud man and believes he should be the one caring for his family. Curtis doesn’t want anyone to have to care for him. He tries to push everyone is his family away. It is difficult for him to accept help.
‘General Hospital Spoilers: Connecting with Trina Robinson
Because of what Curtis has gone through and what he feels, he really needs space. He does talk with Trina finally, and she points out that she didn’t have his presence in her life for a long time. She thought Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) was her father.
Trina and Curtis were just starting to develop a relationship when Trina saw that her mother was hurting. Portia found out that while Portia and Curtis were separated, Curtis kissed Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). He didn’t admit this to her himself, which feels like a betrayal to her. When Trina sees that her mother is upset, she responds negatively to Curtis.
After almost losing him, she realizes that this relationship is really important to her and she shouldn’t push him away. She wants them to work on their relationship again.
‘General Hospital Spoilers: Needing Space
Portia also wants to move forward in her relationship with Curtis. Almost losing him has done the same thing for her. But he doesn’t feel like the man he used to be. He doesn’t want her love out of pity, which seems to be what she is dishing out. He needs space.
Portia hears this from him but doesn’t back off. She even shows up at physical therapy. She wants to watch so she can know how to help him better when they get home. The physical therapist Roy (Mykel Shannon Jenkins) tells Portia that her presence may actually hinder Curtis’ progress, but she wants to do it her way. She still stays, watching.
