During the new episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, the crew rushed to Shelia’s house to find out that something incredibly terrible had happened. Before they released a statement about the tragedy, the cameras showed a coffin and Shelia crying hysterically as it drove away.
When Shelia and David finally sat down, David told her that he just wanted to be able to help her feel better. Then it came out that Shelia’s mother had died that morning.

David and Shelia were staying at her home in order for him to meet her entire family. Their home is in very bad shape. The roof was destroyed by a tsunami and the stairs were narrow and very unsafe.

When Aimee, the interpreter asked Shelia what happened, she explained, “My mother fell down near the stairs. It wasn’t properly nailed and gave out. I think it was around five o’clock when it happened. We didn’t know because we were still asleep. We just found her laying downstairs.”
This was a very unexpected incident and Shelia is heartbroken. She was saddened by the fact that David had just met her mother and the next day, she was gone.
David told the cameras, “When I saw that her mother had passed away, I was in complete shock. But really I didn’t know what to do.” Shelia’s mother’s coffin was carried by the men in the town to the chapel and that was where people could come and pay their respects.
Shelia has to spend 24 hours with her mother’s coffin because it is bad luck if she doesn’t. She wants to be alone and have her time to grieve.
David understands that this is a very hard time for her and just wants to do what is best for her and her family right now. Shelia is happy that David respects the fact that she wants to be alone and get through this the best way that she can.
Will this be a huge bump in the road for Shelia and David? Will he understand that she needs some time to get through this on her own? We will have to continue to keep an eye on them to find out what happens next.
