‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) has a conundrum. She doesn’t trust Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as far as she can throw her.
But she also wants to have an airtight case in court. As Genoa City D.A., she has to make sure her cases are solid before she prosecutes. Is Phyllis going to get away with her crimes?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Not Running Anymore
Y&R’s Phyllis has been on the run for a while now. She faked her death and pinned it all on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), with the help of Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Diane was arrested and sent to prison based on the planted evidence. When Phyllis saw her kids grieving, she felt like she just couldn’t commit. She wanted to go tell them she was alive.
Stark flipped out because she would assuredly try to pin it all on him. He was an ex-con and there was no way he was going back to prison. So, he decided to kill Phyllis since she was already dead. He attacked her with a pair of scissors, but she fought back and killed him.
Instead of calling the police right then and claiming self-defense and blaming Stark for it all, Phyllis tried to dump the body. Then she went on the run. When the police found out that Phyllis was definitely alive, they released Diane and put out an APB on the fugitive.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Turning Herself In
Phyllis did not want to turn herself in until she had a way to stay out of prison. Her lawyer, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) was looking for Carson the EMT (Walter Belenky).
He could be the one to testify about how unhinged and dangerous Stark was. He could also be convinced to testify that he witnessed Phyllis kill Stark in self-defense.
Michael did not find the EMT, but Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) did and black-mailed Phyllis with the find. Phyllis has to help him and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) with their Diane problem.
Phyllis hears the news that Carson has been found and doesn’t act very surprised which raises red flags for her son, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). But she did turn herself in before Carson showed up, which supports the idea that she didn’t find Carson for her benefit.
Christine thinks this is all crazy. She believes Phyllis is up to something and is manipulating something to get off. Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) wants Christine to drop all charges against her client, but that is a hard well.
Christine wants to make Phyllis pay for all the pain she has caused. What do you think? Is Phyllis going to walk free?
