Former 90 Day Fiancé cast member, Karine Martins has been locked in a terrible custody battle. She and her estranged husband, Paul Staehle shared their very messy relationship with viewers on the show. They have never had it easy, but they ended up having two children together that are now in the custody of the state.
After Paul shared videos of Karine physically abusing him and their children in the same room, the state took the children into protective custody and they have been in the foster care system ever since. To make matters even worse, Paul decided to kidnap one of them and take him out of the state.

Things have been looking very bleak when it comes to ever getting their kids back, but Karine has been fighting and sharing updates with her fans. She shared a recent update and it seems as if she is in a much better headspace these days.

Karine does stay active on social media and has been sharing news with fans about the custody battle. This past week, she wrote, “Sometimes I don’t want to post about my life because some people are crazy.” She revealed that she had gotten her driver’s license and this was a very happy moment for her.
She assured her followers that she is very happy these days and this made her fans think that there could have been some changes in the custody battle, but she hasn’t really shared too much about it.
Since the custody battle began, Karine has been fighting to find a job, get a lawyer, and raise the money to get her kids back. While she has been busy with this, Paul fled the country and went back to Brazil.
No one knew where he was for months, but of course, he can’t stay off of social media so he began posting on Instagram and sharing his location. He came back to Kentucky after a few months and now has said that he is helping Karine to get the kids back. From the looks of it though, he hasn’t been helping that much.
Paul has told fans that he and Karine are reconciling, but their fans aren’t quite sure that will happen. Their marriage has always been pretty toxic, so we will all just have to wait and see what happens with these two.
