‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did dot all her “i’s” and cross all her “t’s” in this plan to implicate Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in her “death”.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Plan in Action
Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Phyllis decided that they would set up Phyllis’ fake death and then blame Diane for it. This is exactly what Diane did to Phyllis long ago, but Stark and Phyllis said they would do it better.
Early on in the evening, on the night of the gala, Phyllis traps Diane in a suite upstairs and provokes her into a fight. Diane grabs her and pushes her to the desk, choking her. As she threatens her life, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) walk in.
Diane explains that Phyllis started it by trapping her in the room and that her emotion just overcame her. She says she said something she didn’t mean to say. It shakes up the witnesses, but they seem to accept her side of the story more than Phyllis’.
After Jack and Diane announce their engagement, Phyllis unleashes her anger on them in front of everyone. She tells everyone that Diane attacked her. Then she passes out but she was not drunk. She is taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
On the way to the hospital, the ambulance supposedly carrying Phyllis and two EMTs crashes. The driver is thrown clear of the ambulance and survives. The ambulance catches on fire, supposedly killing the occupants. In reality, some unidentified bodies from the morgue were substituted for their bodies.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Key Piece of Evidence
Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) is the district attorney. It is up to her to determine if there has been a crime committed and if charges are going to be pressed. She personally hates Phyllis, but she does have a job to do. At this point, there is not direct evidence of foul play.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is running a sample of Phyllis’ blood that survived the fire. The driver of the ambulance said he heard Phyllis mention poison. The ambulance crash was an accident, so at this point, they don’t have any evidence against anyone.
Everyone is concerned about the fact that Jeremy Stark is involved. They do not trust him, and rightly so. However, they have not discovered any foul play yet.
When Michael arrives at Crimson Lights, he tells Christine that she has to hear something. He received a recorded message from Phyllis while he was at the gala, but he didn’t see it. In her message to Michael, she expresses how scared she is of Diane.
This may just give Christine the evidence she needs to press charges against Diane, particularly is drugs are found in Phyllis’ system. What are your thoughts? Is Diane going to press charges in his situation or will they focus on Stark and his involvement? Share your ideas below!
