‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are rekindling their connection. While they have been good friends for a long time, recent events have made them see things a bit differently.

Daniel and Lily were star crossed lovers back in the early 2000s. Their relationship was Romeo and Juliet-esque since both of their families did not support their relationship. They actually end up on the run together after some trouble. They end up married but eventually end up calling it quits.
They’ve known each other for a long time and understand each other. When they need someone to talk to who they can trust, they depend on one another. They listen to one another well.
Even though they have not been romantically involved for a long time, they have a solid and caring friendship. That is how they have thought about each other recently.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Finding Each Other
Daniel and Lily now share something that no one wants to share. Lily lost her parents and now Daniel has lost his mother.
Lily has been one of the only people who really understands the emotions because she has gone through it herself. She has been able to comfort Daniel in ways that no other person has been able to.
Daniel’s daughter, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) is worried about him and feels concerned that he is alone after his loss. She encourages him to lean on Lily.
To Daniel she sounds like a matchmaker. She reminds him that sometimes it is important to be grateful for the person right in front of you. Her point is that Daniel may not be really seeing his true feelings for Lily.
Lucy even texts Lily when she is at the airport, leaving for Portugal, to let Lily know that Daniel may need her. Lily arrives to support Daniel and let him know that he is not alone. They share a kiss and that becomes more passionate.
While this may be surprising to both of them, it is also a new intimacy based on a very strong and committed friendship. This could be a lot more successful this time around.
