The portrayal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the South Park show implies that there is a cap on the couple’s worldwide goals.
Harry And Meghan’s South Park Parody Shows Their Lack Of Appeal-‘You Cannot Put On All That Pretense’
That is according to royal expert Angela Levin. The South Park episode does not state the identities of the pair explicitly, however it follows the story of a “Prince from Canada and his wife.” And as part of that process, there is a parody based on the fact that the characters are shown going on a privacy tour across the globe.
In the episode, there are several subtle jabs towards the supposedly requested seclusion of the young couple as they work on different media ventures. At one point, they appear on a talk show titled “Good Morning Canada” to plug the young Canadian prince’s autobiography, titled “Waugh”. With that being said, Levin did not hold back on her words.
In her comments, she said: “One reason they don’t like Great Britain is because it’s tiny and Meghan Markle has enormous ambitions to do things globally. Telling people how they ought to be, showing compassion to those you know and don’t know, don’t fly. Do this, do that. Stand up for being a woman.”
If those comments are taken to be true, then it is significant for the following reasons. First of all, it demonstrates that Meghan has shown that she is willing to address matters on a global scale when she appeared at the One Young World Summit last year in the UK.
This was designed to bring together young leaders from across the globe. Secondly, this was also seen by way of extension when Harry spoke at the UN on Nelson Mandela International Day. And yet, Angela does not see all this as being authentic.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “But you cannot put on all that pretense unless you’ve got substance underneath. And that particular princess, who I shall not name, hasn’t got any substance.”
