If we were looking at Miona Bell to be the pinnacle of an upstanding business woman committed to quality then we may have just been expecting too much. Miona Beauty has been offering a 10 pc brush kit for the ever so easy price of $49.00, but wait there’s more! It seems that she is not the only website that is carrying this brush set though.
The other place offers it to you directly with no middle man. Of course that also means no Miona Beauty logo on the side but as it turns out the logo is something that can be purchased as well… from Alibaba.com. that’s right, it looks like Miona Beauty literally sources brushes wholesale and then just slapped a label on them..
’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers: Miona Beauty defrauding customers?
Now, you could argue that a lot of beauty brands do the same exact thing because not everyone is Jeffree Star and can afford their own distributing places and everyone has to start somewhere. Okay, we’re willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but for someone who seems so committed to jumpstarting her brand it just looks like Miona would put some research into sourcing her products and not resort to literally just slapping labels on things.
It looks kind of bad when you do it that way, or at least when you do it in a way where it can be traced by not only potential customers, but your competitors as well.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Miona is not committed to giving her customer base a quality product, it probably just means that right now she can’t give them a product that’s any more top of the line than what it already is. Beauty is a huge industry, easily worth millions of dollars every year, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the products we get charged high end prices for are well made.
Sometimes, especially in private labels it’s not uncommon for the head of the company to simply buy the product wholesale and slap their own name on it. Tana Mongeau does this with wine, apparently. So why not do it with brushes?
The thing is, if you’re not going to deliver a Jeffree Star level product then please don’t charge your base Jeffree Star prices. That’s the problem we potentially have with Miona Beauty. You can literally get one of Jeffree Star’s brush sets for the same price or for even cheaper if you go by the clearance section on his website. Maybe this is just one of those mistakes that Miona needs to make in her business venture. Stay tuned!!!
