British Royal News says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted for using images from a 2011 Harry Potter premiere and Michael Cohen’s arrest to fake paparazzi attention in their trailer for the Harry and Meghan docuseries. But now Netflix says that there’s a reason they used stock images for the teaser trailer. Here’s what you need to know.

A lot of people are wondering why stock images that had nothing to do with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s time in London were used to tell their supposed ‘story’ of how the British press was hounding them at every corner. A lot of critics believe that using stock images is a deceitful way of telling that story, but some people behind the scenes at Netflix say that’s not the case at all.

What’s more, their trailer for Harry and Meghan seems to show President Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen leaving his New York apartment in 2019 for whatever reason that is unknown. Apparently, Netflix wanted to make it look like Harry and Meghan were being hounded by the press, when they were not.

“You use stock images to tell a story,” a source familiar with the project said.  “It’s not meant to be literal in a trailer.”

Yet, many critics have commented on the matter with, “Stock footage is needed for fiction. If their narrative is accurate, there’s no reason that actual footage couldn’t have been used.

We’re to believe that they were unreasonably hounded by photographers, yet no photographic evidence of this exists?” along with, “There are no one throwing these two life preservers.  They jumped ship willingly themselves.  There are plenty of fast food places hiring.  Stop your complaining now, and get to work.”

Another person said, “This Netflix documentary of Meghan and Harry is a fictional play. All scripted and rehearsed. D-list actress Megan and Harry are reaching new lows. They are both a disgusting duo.”
