Emily Clarkson, who happens to be the daughter of Jeremy Clarkson, has censured her father’s remarks about Meghan Markle, after he expressed that he had an intense distaste for her.

Clarkson stated that he was unable to sleep due to fantasies of Markle being made to walk unclothed/nude through British cities with the inhabitants screaming ‘Shame’ and hurling excrement at her. He has been labelled a sexist and blamed for stirring up aggression by those on the internet who were appalled by the comments.
With that being said, Emily made it clear in no uncertain terms that she was not in support of her father’s actions. In her comments, she said: “My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media.
“I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I remain standing in support of those that are targeted with online hatred.”
This may justify Prince Harry’s earlier claims that his wife was subject to online abuse. After all, there is nothing to suggest that Meghan has done anything personal towards Clarkson. And yet, Clarkson appeared to be far from impressed by Meghan.
In his comments at the time, Clarkson stated: “I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, “Shame!” and throw lumps of excrement at her.”
It is not surprising, then, that the response on social media towards Clarkson was damning. Numerous people made it clear that regardless of your views of Meghan, there was no need to use such language. And in the process, they began to call out Clarkson and demand that he be held accountable.
Comedian Dom Joly had this to say: “Literally gobsmacked at the utterly vile and disgusting comments written about Meghan Markle by Jeremy Clarkson.”
