Former ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star Bethenny Frankel has sued TikTok after they allegedly allowed scammers to use her image as a way to promote their products.

Bethenny, for her part, is known for reviewing various products on her TikTok channel which may have given scammers an opportunity to get her image out. After all, she does have a massive fan base with close to one million followers.
According to the court documents, Bethenny has alleged that her fan base noticed that her image was being used to promote designs of a cardigan that was a counterfeit product.
It is stressed that one scammer had taken a video of her talking positively about a cardigan and edited it so that it seemed she was promoting another product that was fake. And as all of this happened without her consent, it has understandably left her feeling aggrieved.
In response, Bethenny apparently resorted to posting a video warning her followers about this. And yet, that did not help matters as TikTok seemingly removed the video for being ‘abusive.’
Therefore, Bethenny is apparently demanding compensation and changes to the platform by way of them changing their advertising policies so that nothing like this happens again. With that being said, Bethenny did not hold back.
In her comments, she said: “This is something that has to be addressed, because it’s a breeding ground for scams. What if this really really damaged my image? Because a lot of people are feeling like, ‘oh she sold out.
“These people are garbage, scumbag scoundrel scammers stealing, and their products are garbage, and don’t buy them.” The only thing left to do is let the authorities investigate the matter and come to a reasonable conclusion.
