Thomas Markle has hit out at his daughter Meghan Markle’s claims that she ‘lost’ her father.
Thomas Markle Slams Daughter Meghan Markle’s Lies-‘She Didn’t ‘lose’ Me, She Dumped Me’
The Duchess of Sussex created controversy in ‘The Cut’ interview when her comments initially appeared to suggest that she was referring to her husband, Prince Harry, losing his father. This position was clarified by a statement that Meghan’s comments were made in relation to her own father.
While that may have been the case, Thomas has denied the suggestions that Meghan has lost her dad. After all, he has made it very clear that he would want some form of a relationship.
He previously stated how his 40th gift for his daughter’s birthday was not acknowledged, while reports also indicated that Meghan had failed to reach out during his recent hospitalisation with a stroke.
With that being said, Thomas came out fighting. In his comments, he said: “She didn’t ‘lose’ me, she dumped me. I am not lost. She knows where to find me. My number hasn’t changed. I would love to hear from my daughter and meet my son-in-law and my grandkids for the first time.”
Although Thomas made that clear, Meghan’s stance does not appear to be the same. After all, she has had plenty of reasons to reach out to him. And if Meghan cannot do so after seeing Harry have poor relations with his family, then the chances of a reconciliation are slim.
Even the hospitalisation with a stroke was not enough for Meghan to make contact. That is why Thomas expressed frustrations with his name being brought up time and again, if Meghan was not interested in reaching out.
His following comments confirmed as much: “I am still very ill and trying to recover from the stroke in May. Yet every time she opens her mouth she brings me into [the story]. It never ends.”
