According to reports, the filing for the order occurred in June this year. This was on the grounds that Jim had allegedly been engaging in “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” via text. Not only that, but as the pair are still engaging in a custody battle, this is hardly going to make things easier when it comes to that.
Although that may be the case, Jim’s team has denied that this order is in place. With that being said, the public have been left none the wiser.
In an official statement given on behalf of Jim, his representative, Steve Honig, said the following: “This request for an order of protection is completely baseless and furthermore makes an absolute mockery of the pain suffered by the millions of women in this country.”
Regardless of what the case may be, one thing that Meghan has made clear is the lack of support she feels she is getting when it comes to co-parenting. This is particularly true since her son Hart has Cerebral Palsy.
This is a lifelong condition that has the impact of affecting someone’s mobility and coordination. Not only that, but Meghan also alleged that Hart had suffered from ‘irreversible’ brain damage. As a result, her following comments showed the dismay she may have been feeling.
She stated: “I don’t know what coparenting is. I don’t know what it is. Like, I don’t. I’d be the one to get advice. In order to coparent, you have to communicate right? Yeah, so that would be a good start. … Jim hates me. It’s horrible.”
Time will tell how this proceeds going forward, but if there is an order in place, then that will only complicate matters.
